Why Haddonfield School of Dance?
We understand that families have several choices when choosing a dance studio for their children. Parents choose us because we pride ourselves on our customer service. Our instructors provide quality teaching while encouraging self expression. The statment "Where dance is fun for everyone" is important to us because we believe that children will develop a lifetime love of art and physical activity if they are truly enjoying themselves. Other factors that make families stay at our studio are:
Short Recitals: We break our recitals down into multiple shows. Shows average less than 1.5 hours.
Family discounts: Our pricing system is great for families with multiple children. The more classes a family takes, the lower the per-class cost. Our registration fee includes every member of the family.
Injury Prevention: Our floors are sprung from underneath, which means that they are safer on joints during high impact jumping, dancing, and skipping.
Location: Our studio is conveniently located between Haddonfield, Haddon Twp., Audubon, and Haddon Heights. We are a short walk from the Westmont Patco station, and a 5 minute drive from Rte. 295.
Parking: We have a large, clean, and well-lit parking lot. Parents can take advantage of the other stores in our complex while their children dance. We have a grocery store, Pizza and Chinese restaurants, dry cleaner, pharmacy, and a nail salon adjacent to the studio.
Instruction: Our teachers are college educated and mature. Our instructors pride themselves on their understanding of child development and dance instruction.
Our Philosophy
Under the direction of Megan Cottrell, MA, the Haddonfield School of Dance's mission is to provide expert dance instruction in a nurturing environment while never losing sight of the individual students' needs, strengths and aspirations. We cater to both the serious and recreational dancer with a wide range of classes in various disciplines and skill levels.
Classes in technique, terminology and choreography are included
in our repertoire.
Megan Cottrell is committed to providing quality and fun dance
education for all types of dancers. We provide classes in ballet,
tap, jazz, hip-hop, pointe, lyrical, creative movement, Mommy and
me, fairy-tale dance, choreography, Tae Kwon Do and
special needs. We also provide private and intensive studying opportunites.
We pride ourselves on providing a fun dance experience for both the serious and recreational student. Serving the communities of Haddonfield, Haddon Township, Haddon Heights, Barrington, Collingswood, Audubon, Oaklyn, Gloucester Township, and Cherry Hill, we offer many class options for today's busy families.
Our faculty is committed to providing a quality education in a
family-like atmosphere. Additionally, we provide fun and exciting
birthday party packages, special holiday events, and themed activity nights.
The Haddonfield School of Dance is equipped with two full size studios. We have one wooden spring loaded floor and one with marley-type flooring. Both studios have full mirrors along the front and full stationary barres.
